Limit of a Product
The limit of a product equals the product of the limits, provided both limits exist.
Conditions. Both lim f(x) and lim g(x) must exist.
Worked examples
Find lim(x→3) x · (x+1).
- lim(x→3) x · lim(x→3) (x+1) = 3 · 4
Answer: 12
Find lim(x→1) (2x)(x²).
- lim(x→1) 2x · lim(x→1) x² = 2 · 1
Answer: 2
